These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Inbox3 service operated by Inbox3 ("we", "our", "us") at inbox3.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Inbox3 is an AI-powered email digest that connects to your Gmail or Outlook account via read-only OAuth access, scans your incoming email each morning, and surfaces a digest of the messages most likely to require your action (3 by default, up to 10 on the Pro plan). The service also offers AI-generated reply drafts, snooze functionality, and sender importance learning.
Inbox3 is not an email client. It does not replace your inbox, send emails on your behalf, or manage your email storage. It is an additive intelligence layer that works alongside your existing email provider.
2. Account Registration
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Inbox3.
- You must provide a valid email address and accurate account information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password.
- You may register using Google OAuth or email/password. One account per email address.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.
3. Email Access and Permissions
- Inbox3 requests read-only access to your email via the
gmail.readonlyscope (Gmail) or equivalent read-only permission (Outlook). - We cannot and will not send, delete, modify, or archive your emails through these permissions.
- You may revoke email access at any time from your Inbox3 settings or directly from your Google/Microsoft account settings.
- When you click "Send" on a reply draft, Inbox3 opens your email provider's compose window with the draft pre-filled. The actual sending is performed by your email provider, not by Inbox3.
4. AI-Generated Content
- Inbox3 uses AI (provided by Anthropic) to classify email urgency and generate reply drafts.
- AI classifications and drafts are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before sending.
- AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Inbox3 is not liable for consequences of acting on AI-generated content without review.
- Email urgency classifications are best-effort. Important emails may occasionally be missed or low-priority emails may be surfaced. Your original inbox remains untouched as a fallback.
5. Plans and Billing
5.1 Free Plan
The Free plan provides 3 daily digest items, 1 AI reply draft per day, Gmail-only support, and standard morning delivery. The Free plan is available indefinitely at no cost.
5.2 Pro Plan
The Pro plan includes up to 10 configurable digest items, unlimited AI drafts, Gmail + Outlook support, sender learning, snooze, custom digest time, and weekly summary emails. Billed monthly via Stripe at the rate shown at time of signup.
5.3 Founding Member Pricing
The first 100 Pro subscribers ("Founding Members") receive a discounted monthly rate locked for the lifetime of their subscription. If a Founding Member cancels and later resubscribes, the founding rate is forfeited and the standard Pro rate applies. Founding Member availability is tracked in real-time and subject to capacity.
5.4 Billing Terms
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance.
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds.
- Failed payments will be retried per Stripe's retry schedule. After repeated failures, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect existing billing periods.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Inbox3 for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to access other users' data, reverse-engineer the service, or exploit vulnerabilities.
- Use automated tools to abuse API endpoints or circumvent rate limits.
- Connect email accounts that you do not own or have authorisation to access.
- Resell or redistribute the service without written permission.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Inbox3 service, brand, logo, and codebase are owned by Inbox3. All rights reserved.
- Your email content belongs to you. We claim no ownership over your emails, drafts, or personal data.
- AI-generated reply drafts are provided for your use. You may use, edit, and send them freely.
8. Service Availability
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
- The service depends on third-party APIs (Gmail, Outlook, Anthropic). Outages in these services may affect Inbox3 functionality.
- If your daily digest cannot be generated (e.g., due to expired OAuth tokens), we will notify you via email and prompt you to reconnect.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inbox3 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of business, missed emails, or damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that: (a) the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, (b) AI classifications will be 100% accurate, or (c) all important emails will be surfaced in every digest.
11. Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. This permanently deletes all associated data within 30 days.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.
- Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
